How to block Facebook on iPhone
You opened it to check one event. Forty minutes later you know what someone you went to school with thinks about parking.
Three ways, honestly compared
You’ve probably tried the first two already.
You cannot delete it, because it is where the family photos and the local groups live. So it stays, and so does the habit.
Screen Time
Free, already on your phone

- Settings › Screen Time › App Limits › add Facebook › set a limit.

- Until the limit appears and offers you “Ignore Limit”. You chose the passcode, so you know the passcode.
Fine until you really want back in.
Delete Facebook

- Hold the icon, remove the app, sign out on the web too.

- About four days, for most people. Reinstalling takes seconds, and your account is exactly where you left it.

- Pick Facebook, set the hours, choose one person to hold the key.

- Until your rules say otherwise, or until the person you chose agrees to let you out early.
The only one that still holds at eleven at night.
Four steps, once
Blocking Facebook with Warden
Setup takes about two minutes. The last step is the one that matters. After it, you can’t unlock early on your own.

Give Warden Screen Time access
iOS asks once. Warden uses Apple’s Screen Time framework to put the shield up, and can’t block anything without it.

Pick Facebook from the system app picker. iOS hands Warden an opaque token, so the app never learns which apps you chose.

Give Facebook a schedule, a daily allowance, or both.

Can I block Facebook but keep Messenger?
Yes. They are separate apps to iOS, so you can shield one and leave the other open.
Do I need to delete my account?
No. Nothing about your account changes. Warden shields the app on this phone and that is the whole of it.
Is my Keyholder in charge of my phone?
No. They hold exactly one decision: whether to let you out early. They cannot change your rules, add apps, or see what you use.
